The Democratic Party MPs who will participate in the next protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office have been equipped with gas masks. The measure was taken after previous experiences during rallies, where the police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
According to sources within the blue headquarters, all participating MPs have been equipped with protective masks in advance, in anticipation of any possible scenario during the protest.
The last two national protests, held on January 24 and February 10, saw clashes between protesters and security forces. Police used tear gas and water cannons, while crowds threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at institutions.
Today's protest is the opposition's third national one for 2026, while authorities have announced increased security measures around the Prime Minister's Office building.
