DP MP Saimir Korreshi commented on last Saturday's protest, emphasizing that the action was an expression of civic anger and not part of an organized scenario.
Korreshi described the high participation in the protest and the involvement of family members and women as an indicator of the importance of the event.
He emphasized that citizens protested about "the theft committed by the government" and not about political individuals.
According to him, the police response was excessive and illegal, using tear gas and pepper spray on protesters without any provocation, harming unarmed citizens.
He denied any violence by the protesters, emphasizing that no one threw Molotov cocktails or attacked the police, while some of the objects thrown were only fireworks aimed at the prime minister's office.
Korreshi considered the arrest of over 20 protesters as illegal and said that this cannot violate the right of citizens to express their anger.
Korreshi also touched on the debate on the suspension of the case in the Constitutional Court, criticizing the commission and the government for a lack of transparency.
"No one talked about a postponement due to the Constitutional Court, but it was closed without a date and without a reason," Korreshi said in "Puls".
