Hundreds of citizens have gathered again today in Skanderbeg Square and have now moved in front of the Prime Minister's Office building. The crowd is constantly chanting "Rama go away", "Rama in prison", while there is no shortage of slogans against the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
One of the most frequently repeated chants during the protest is "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison," reflecting the dissatisfaction of some of the protesters towards the entire political class.
The protest was attended by civil society activists, environmentalists, youth, and citizens from various cities across the country. Many of them held banners against the government, while others expressed their opposition to what they consider the opposition's cooperation and silence on issues of public interest.
The organizers have come up with 5 concrete demands. Chief among them was the resignation of the government, the repeal of the status and legal framework for strategic investors, the repeal of the Mountain Package, the cancellation of the changes to the law on protected areas, and the cancellation of the changes to the law on cultural heritage.
