The deputy of the Socialist Party, Arben Pëllumbi, has stated that the Open Lists create difficulties in the promotion of new political figures.
Pëllumbi also said that as long as political parties exist, then according to him, the leadership of these parties should have an influence on the election of deputies, since otherwise, political forces would not exist.
" The constitution says that the list of deputies must be no less than 2/3 open. A 100% open list creates difficulties for a person who is not very well known, a young person. Political parties are those that are between the government and the electorate.
This idea that is created that the president has this power, or the presidency has this power, is not so. If the people who were to decide themselves, it didn't matter that they were political parties. How long are the political parties, normal that influence the names that are decided. Politicians must discuss and decide which option is best.
We have to discuss the vote of immigrants. Here too we have to discuss with experts in the field. But we think we have done our duty, but it is the by-laws that decide on the vote of immigrants. What the SP has strongly demanded is the depoliticization of the electoral system. If we agree to have electronic voting and counting, then this becomes simpler ", Pëllumbi said.
