"SP should not provoke", Seehi about the clashes in the Parliament:

The chairman of the 'Movement for National Development' party, Dashamir Shehi, has expressed his concern about the tense situation in the Assembly, after the clashes between the opposition MPs and the Guard of the Republic and the Police officers.

Through a statement to the media, Shehi said that parliamentary sessions cannot be functional where the majority has excluded half of the opposition MPs.

"The Movement for National Development expresses its concern about the worsening situation in the Parliament of Albania. Parliamentary sessions cannot be functional where the majority has excluded half of the opposition MPs", said Shehi.

He also added that the opposition has its legitimate right to react with all the ways that democracy and the law allow, to return normality to the Parliament.

"This is unacceptable in a democratic country and the opposition has its legitimate right to react even harshly, with all the ways that democracy and the law allow," added the head of LZHK.

In conclusion, Shehi called on the majority not to condemn and provoke the opposition.

"The Movement for National Development asks the majority not to condemn and provoke the opposition but to restore normalcy in the Assembly of Albania as soon as possible.

Can we have democracy without parliamentarism?", concluded Shehi.
