Raiffeisen Bank: Are we on the verge of a defeat similar to that of '97?

The $1 million question is: Is this situation in danger of collapsing? Are Albanians' money in danger of disappearing? How many guarantees does Raiffeisen Bank offer?

Raiffeisen Bank has always been one of the biggest thieves in Albania. Beyond the double standard used in the service, unlike in European countries, and completely different in Albania, in the last few months a campaign of theft of Albanians' pockets has also started. And this is not only about extra payment fees for even the most minimal services, but also about a dirty game that is being played with the accounts, deposits or pension funds that it supposedly offers to Albanians as "extra" opportunities.

The difficult international situation of this bank and the American ultimatum to cut off ties with Russia seem to have alerted the entire system, which has already turned into, "catch some catch".

The scheme is also being applied in Albania.

Currently, Raiffeisen Bank International has increased payment fees for all services, but also for any type of information that citizens require for their accounts.

This bank is the only one in Albania that forces you to pay from 700 to 1000 lek, it is for a summary of bank transactions or supporting documentation for individual accounts. We clarify that such documentation should be easily accessible online, or in the worst case, free at the counters.

With the most incompetent staff in the world - we can easily bet on that - this bank has erected "firewalls" with counters where employees are unable to give any explanation for any kind of problem that has recently appeared. And after this process, it's been months since Raiffeisen Bank is playing a dirty game with the deposits, funds and loans of every Albanian that trouble has knocked on its doors.

Inexplicably, the last 6 months of 2023 have been accompanied by an increase in credit interests of individuals and small businesses, different from those of the beginning and with the justification of the movements of the Eurobond and other "troubles" caused by the unrest in the world!

Inexplicably, those who have entrusted their savings to this bank have resulted in losses in all kinds of investments that Raiffesen's "experts" are looking after.

It's about millions missing to zero that have provoked long queues at the counters of Raiffeisen Bank. People are asking for explanations and in their absence they have started massive withdrawals of deposited money, even with the high fines that the bank does not spare.

In fact, in recent weeks, some branches of this bank in the capital have been temporarily closed with ridiculous excuses.

Regarding this created situation, about which the Bank of Albania and the Ministry of Finance are silent, experts say that the international situation of Raiffeisen Bank affects it. It is already known and the world's largest media have written about it that Raiffeisen Bank is involved in Russian financial influence and many transactions of billions end up in the most well-known names of the Russian mafia. On the other hand, the United States has long pressured Raiffeisen Bank International to withdraw from a 1.5 billion purchase in Russia that leads to Ogel Deripaska, a man sanctioned by the US, but the game is big and this bank is so included, its leaders have sunk in so deep that there doesn't seem to be any retraction.

For this reason, Raiffeisen is collecting what it can in all the countries where it operates. The plan is that, in case of sanctions, the loss is as small as possible. But if in large markets, small losses or taxes taken as a no-brainer, may go unnoticed, in the modest accounts of Albanians it kills. Hence the backlash has been strong and people are looking to get their money back.

But the real problem is not exactly that. The $1 million question is another: Is this situation at risk of collapsing? Are Albanians' money in danger of disappearing? How many guarantees does Raiffeisen Bank offer?/ Pamphlet
