Prime Minister Edi Rama said at the year-end conference that 2023 was the best year for Albania in every aspect.
He emphasized that there has been growth in the economy, tourism and foreign investments.
Among other things, he underlined that there has been a decrease in real unemployment, and today we have unemployment that is the lowest of all years, 10.5%.
"I feel better than any previous year, as a result of the progress of the year we are closing, which has been the best year for Albania in every aspect. The best year in economic terms, in relation to past years, not in relation to how much still needs to be done in every direction, first of all for the growth of the national economy and the economy of Albanian families. The best year in terms of security, in terms of public services, public investments and foreign investments. The best year in terms of Albania's international position. This year will close with an economic growth that significantly exceeds any forecast made either by the Albanian government or financial institutions. In the first 9 months, Albania received 3.2 billion euros in revenues from tourism alone, a very high figure and without any comparison with previous years.
There has been a decrease in real unemployment, and today we have an unemployment rate that is the lowest of all years, 10.5%. The aim is to gradually decrease below 10% next year. Foreign investments over 1 billion euros, or nearly 60 million euros over last year," said Rama.
