Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, during his speech in the Assembly, accused Prime Minister Edi Rama that upon coming to power, he signed the incinerators affair with urgency.
He added that Rama used former minister Lefter Koka as a thief, at a time when, according to the former prime minister, the Ministry he led did not have a penny in the budget.
He further said with irony that Lefter Koka's sentence should be doubled, since he is not denouncing those who, according to him, are really the authors of the incinerator affair.
Rama urgently signed the corrupt contracts for the incinerators. It started with Elbasan, signing 17 administrative acts in 24 hours, a record in the history of this country or any other. The company had to be created with which Rama, Veliaj or Ahmetaj would become millionaires in a flash. Lefter Koka was used as a handy thief. He did not have a single penny in his ministry's budget for the construction of the Elbasan incinerator.
The one who suffers prison, and they double it as he denounces. They shut him up. Of the 23 million with the keys in hand, it cost 11 million, the rest was pocketed by Rama, Ahmetaj and Agaçi. Appetite comes from eating. We come to Fieri's burner. What does Faraudin Arapi say; the deposit costs 12 euros. In the Tirana contract, it is 11 euros. The Arab says; burning costs 25 euros" , said Berisha.
