Rama does not miss the opportunity to "bite" Kurti: Kosovo must get

The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has returned the blows to Albin Kurti. He spoke today on the CONTEXT show on ATV, where he said that Kosovo should get out of Serbia's game of who is to blame.

He said that Kosovo should be aware of the burden of responsibility it has as a new member of the international community.

" The essence of the strategic mistake made by all those who think that the international subjectivity of Kosovo and the final state recognition of Kosovo will come through a process where Kosovo will compete with Serbia as to who is more to blame. No, in my point of view and I have always said this, our strategic approach of the Albanians and in this case we are talking about Kosovo, but I think this is also the case for Albania and this should be the case for all Albanians, it is not to blame others, or to enter the game of blaming each other in the sense of 'no look, agree, maybe we are this, look at them'. We have nothing to do with them, we do these things for ourselves, and Kosovo for itself must shine in this process. Kosovo, for itself, must show internationally a being that is fully aware of the burden of the flag it has, of the burden of the Constitution it has, of the burden of responsibility it has, as a new actor, as a new member of the international community. Serbia is not the benchmark and it is not Serbia the standard and it is not Serbia the point of reference ," said Rama.

He said that if he had been in this process himself, he would have fulfilled all international obligations, and then he would have left Serbia in the hands of others to deal with it.

" I have said a long time ago, if it were up to me, I would have signed the agreement unilaterally, fulfilling all my obligations in relation to this effort for full international subjectivity and leaving it to then Serbia in the hands of others to deal with it and not for me to sit and deal with me all the time, 'why do you do this, why don't you do that, others '", said Rama.

According to him, Kosovo should not be compared to Serbia at all, but should think about the next generation.

" We must hurry and do what is possible to become worthy for the next generation as a state recognized by all, and for this I think that in international politics and in the international arena, in today's conditions, for countries like us , by doing bad, you don't gain anything, and by doing good, you can gain something ," Rama said.
