After a two-day meeting with the government cabinet in Tepelena, Prime Minister Rama spoke about the situation of fires in Albania.
He attacked prosecutors, urging them not to make absurd decisions by dismissing cases of arsonists.
Rama also appeals to all people who try to burn the forests and the country's wealth, saying that they will be punished according to the law.
He added that we must all take care, so that our forests are not affected by fires as is happening to the countries around Albania.
"For those who burn the forests... It is a great credit to the State Police and I have publicly thanked them for arresting some of the perpetrators for whom the code provides for long prison terms.
I want to make a call to the prosecutors who have announced in an even more criminal way than those who burned, case breaks and case investigations, so that they don't forget their children and their great-grandparents, who planted those trees when they get consider giving such decisions.
These people should go and spend a long time in prison, because with a match, which comes from a criminal vanity, they burn the wealth of the country and I don't want it to happen in Albania, as it is happening in some countries around. For this reason, we have made the change in the Criminal Code", said Rama.
