This afternoon SPAK issued 10 arrest warrants for former officials of the Municipality of Durrës, among them the former mayor Vangjush Dako.
Regarding this arrest, the reaction of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, who from Berat where he stopped as part of the thanksgiving tour, said that for the first time in the history of Albania, people with power are being hit.
Although until recently he considered Dako a close friend, it seems that he has distanced himself from him, as he added that he normally does not like it when people who were by his side yesterday are now by the judge's side.
" Patience must also be exercised in the fight against corruption, because we have entered a new phase, where for the first time in history people connected to power are being hit. This is not easy, because you don't feel good when you see someone who until yesterday was by your side and now is by the side of the prosecutor and the judge. But even when you see that force and power can be used to do things you shouldn't. It never happened before. For this, we should be proud of SP and the contribution we make, " said Rama.
