Rama: I will not cross the red line for Belinda Balluku or for anyone
Prime Minister Edi Rama at the SP meeting

Prime Minister Edi Rama, at a meeting of the Socialist Party, confirmed former minister Belinda Balluku as the regional leader for Fier in the upcoming elections.

Rama stated that he will neither declare Belinda Balluku guilty nor innocent in relation to what SPAK is investigating.

He said that he will not cross the red line he has set for all socialists after implementing the justice reform, even in her case.

"I am neither able nor permitted, either by law or custom, to hold any collaborator accountable. I do not intend to tell you that Belinda is a person who is easily tolerated at work, especially when her head tells her that she is right and will get her way. I do not intend to declare her innocent of what she is accused of or to cross the red line for her that I drew in this hall on the eve of the justice reform, which applies to everyone," said Rama.

Rama stated that there are no serious charges of corruption or theft against Balluk, but simply an accusation of violating equality in tenders.

The head of government stated that Balluku was the one who "asphalted" the opposition in the Fier region, winning heavily in this area.

"Belinda Balluku has not been charged with corruption or theft or anything that links her to a crime scene. The charge against her is only the reasonable suspicion that she has violated the criminal offense of inequality in public tenders, based on messages found on the cell phone of a former director. Charges were thrown and served like dog food in the 700 pots of the political and media trial, and it was immediately decided by the prosecutor and the judge to suspend her as deputy prime minister. This was an absurd measure, which in fact suspended the function and not simply the person. Such stupidity has not happened anywhere in the world. Then came the second rush and is the second request to authorize or not the arrest of a deputy.

The mere announcement of the accusation on the crooked and unfortunately customary path of the investigative groups of the Train Station, caused waves of hatred to rise against Balluku that are boiling in 700 media pots. They turned her into a criminal with 300 villas. They made it seem as if during her time in office the roads collapsed, the sea turned sour due to the nature of the political and media bazaar. But she is the person who paved the entire opposition in Fier. There was also that man, who was taken to the defense of a girl, a rare case in the history of humanity. Balluku turned into a witch who should be burned in a pile of wood with Molotov cocktails, by this opposition, which threw all the dirt on her. The epochal changes in infrastructure did not come from time, but came from the SP, which Belinda Balluku is also part of", said Rama.

Earlier, Ulsi Manja read the report of the Socialist Party, which again does not agree with the deprivation of freedom of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
