The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke in high tones in today's session in the Assembly about the annual integration report made by the European Parliament.
Berisha demanded the full reading of the report in the plenary session, accusing the majority of deceiving citizens.
"This is an extremely serious act at a very important moment for Albanians and Albania. You present a report that you do not dare to read, and you decide in an anti-constitutional manner that the report is not read, that the citizens do not become aware of your deceptions. I demand that the report be withdrawn immediately. The report is, after all, a deception, and bureaucracy. As for the performance, it is all fiction. The report should be read here and on the basis of the read report, discussions should be held and then the resolution should be voted on. How is it possible that we can discuss a report that you are erasing from the citizens. Because you have filled it with deceptions. Dear citizens, you have filled it with deceptions, they do not dare to take the report for granted," said Berisha.
Meanwhile, Assembly Speaker Niko Peleshi clarified parliamentary procedure, emphasizing that the document is not read in a plenary session.
"The report is read in parliamentary committees, this is where the resolution is voted on," he said.
