MP Ivi Kaso has called on DP members to participate en masse in the May 23 referendum, where the democratic leader will be voted on.
On behalf of the Democratic Party's Committee for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations, Kaso said that the preparation phase for the May 23 process has been completed, where Democrats will elect their leader through a referendum, according to the principle of 1 member, 1 vote.
"Voting centers will be set up in all branches of the Democratic Party where, from 08:00 to 18:00, Democrats are called to vote en masse, in this expression of direct democracy. In large branches, according to requests, it has been determined that more than 1 voting center may be set up."
"This Saturday, 77 branches of the Democratic Party throughout Albania will vote in a referendum for the president in an exercise of democracy," he said.
He continued by saying that the Democratic Party is proud because, since the establishment of the Re-establishment Commission, until May 23, it has held 7 open, direct and democratic electoral processes.
"The complete opposite of the 'one member, one vote' principle occurs in the 'bunker party', where elections have not been held for more than a decade and every appointment is made according to the autocratic 'one leader, one vote' principle."
"Once again, I call on all democrats to exercise their right to vote in Saturday's referendum," said Kaso.
O zoti kaso. Po as enver hoxha nuk ks bërë votime duke qenë vetëm ai kandidat. Të paktën e vendiste një emër rival sa për sy e faqe. E ti thua merni pjesë në vitime... po çvotime o ditë zi...
