Former Prime Minister says a notarial statement was removed from the vetting file; allegations relate to the SPAK head's family villa
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, published documents and statements that, according to him, cast doubt on the transitional re-evaluation (vetting) process of the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani. During a public statement, Berisha claimed that a notarial declaration related to the ownership and financing of a villa belonging to Dumani's family was removed from the vetting file.
According to Berisha, the document in question was submitted during the vetting process and contains statements from Duman's wife's family members regarding the construction and use of the apartment.
"In the notarial statement, they write that Altin Dumani has no financial contribution to the construction of this house and that the family had started living in it since 2000," Berisha declared.
He claimed that the document was later withdrawn from the vetting file, calling this "manipulation" and evidence that the re-evaluation process was used to keep figures in the justice system under pressure.
What do the published documents contain?
The published materials include fragments of documents related to an apartment and statements about the use of a property.
Part of the document mentions a purchase order contract for an apartment with an area of 127.14 m² in Tirana, with a total value of 50 thousand euros. The document mentions advance payments and remaining financial obligations.
Another fragment contains a statement stating that the family had started living in the apartment since October 2004 and that furnishing expenses and interior work had been incurred.
The document also cites an assessment made during the verification process, according to which the purchase price of the property was around 390 euros/m², while references are also made to construction costs in Tirana for 2006.
