Under the direction of 2 co-chairs, Damian Gjiknuri and Enkelejd Alibeaj, the Special Electoral Reform Commission is expected to take place today online at 11:00.
In this hearing, all political parties are invited to give their proposals.
In this session, the opposition and the majority will present their proposals on what they intend to achieve by March 15, when the mandate of this Special Commission ends.
We recall that on February 9, the Special Commission met online, where they heard the proposals of some of the Civil Society organizations that have election issues as their field of responsibility.
Most of the representatives of the organizations proposed the creation of conditions for the voting of citizens residing abroad, open lists, electronic voting in the upcoming elections, as well as the fulfillment of the recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR.
The organizations demanded the non-involvement of administration employees in electoral campaigns, stressing that the law should clearly define when an administration employee can be involved in electoral campaign activities.
