The deputy of the Socialist Party, Fatmir Xhafaj, in his speech at the plenary session where the anti-corruption resolution of the SP is being presented, stated, among other things, that the fight against corruption was one of his commitments in the 2021 campaign.
According to him, Albania 2030 of the European generation will not be so far away if the results of this project will provide stations of hope.
He added that he regrets that the first reaction regarding this resolution was mud, since according to him, for such causes, even politics makes a truce.
Xhafaj: The 2021 campaign remains an important moment of my political career, where door-to-door with my constituents and window-to-window media, I supported the request for a vote for public engagement for 3 key battles: Innovation, anti-corruption and Youth.
I was convinced that if their vote would bring me back to this hall, I would dedicate myself to these battles with all my energy.
Right from the beginning of this legislature, I dedicated the first word in this pulpit to the imperative need to take steps aimed at further deepening the state-forming reforms.
This is the reason why I strongly support this resolution, which evaluates the initiatives and mechanisms so far and the results achieved and paves the way for the reforms that citizens expect for change for the future they have entrusted to us, where Albania 2030 of the new European generation it does not seem like a distant destination if every day the results of this project will bring stations of hope closer.
It is unfortunate that mud has been the first reaction, since even politics should make a truce when talking about a cause that can heal 30-year-old wounds, uniting and not dividing, speaking with the voice of reason and not political despair, having the will to work and not war against each other, the smoke of which has brought blindness to see the real problems of the citizens.
