The Democratic Party's candidate for deputy in the Durrës district in the May 11 elections, Aulon Kalaja, has declared that he is very close to winning the mandate, while he awaits the final session of the Election Appeals Board (KAS).
"I salute KAS for the stance it has taken. I am moving towards victory, towards opening the boxes tomorrow, as my last session will also take place," said Kalaja.
According to him, several other Democratic Party candidates have been ousted by KAS due to lack of legitimacy.
"The other candidates were defeated because they could not be legitimized. These ones beat you and don't even let you cry. I want to see my votes, in my personal name as Aulon Kalaja, not just as a political entity," he said, adding that all the facts will come out from the opening of the ballot boxes in Durrës.
"Not only were the votes stolen, but they were also trafficked. I have seen my votes declared invalid and given to the SP," said Aulon Kalaja.
