Rules of Procedure and Commissions, Balla responds to the DP: Consultations are

The majority and the opposition shared different positions in the meeting called by the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, with the leaders of the parliamentary groups regarding the changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.

And while the opposition claims that the entire process is unconstitutional and does not respect deadlines, while accusing the majority of not even making the draft proposals available, the Socialist Party considers this process completely regular.

"We believe that consultations were held in the Council for the Regulation of Mandates and the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, rightly requested from the moment he was elected to this position that this council be constituted."

"We are in a situation that is not very much foreseen by the Regulation," said Balla.

He further added that the issue of changing parliamentary committees is not the first time. He brought to attention the initiative made 4 years ago in Parliament.

"The Assembly must have a new organization, with 11 committees, so that we can also address the need for the historical moments we are in in relation to the EU."

We need to review the decrees for the Government and its program within the week. We also need to have the Conference of Chairmen ready, we also need to have the Committees, since the Conference of Chairmen is mainly composed of the chairmen of the Parliamentary Committees.

"It is imperative that we go through these stages and complete all other processes during the week," said Balla.
