Summit in Tirana, Berisha: Today the Open Balkans project is being buried, aimed

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has today greeted the Berlin summit that has started work in Tirana, as he said that this summit today finally buries the Open Balkans project, which was also promoted by Prime Minister Rama.

In a statement to the media, he said that the summit is also a guarantee for the opposition people in Albania "that no facade of Rama will be able to prevent them from seeing the walls that Rama has erected and that separate Tirana from Brussels, from seeing the wall of corruption, drugs and organized crime, the wall of complete monism and the anti-constitutional war against the opposition".

"The DP supports and welcomes today's summit of the leaders of the EU and the Western Balkan countries in Tirana as one of the most important events after the Thessaloniki summit 20 years ago. The DP as a locomotive of the Euro-Atlantic integration processes guarantees the participants of this summit that it remains determined, committed with its program to do everything to advance the important process of integration in the EU as the best future for Albanians, but also for other peoples in peace, prosperity and development.

PD emphasizes that 20 years have passed since the Thessaloniki summit until today, but unfortunately only one country in the region from that time is today a full member of the EU, Croatia. This is not because the EU has lacked the predisposition or desire for the integration of these countries, but because in the last 10 years the process of integration, due to the regimes installed in some countries in the region, turned into a horizon that moved away more and more . The presence of the EU leaders today is one more guarantee today for the Albanians and the opposition people that no facade of Rama will be able to prevent them from seeing the walls that Rama has erected and that separate Tirana from Brussels, from seeing the wall of corruption , drugs and organized crime, the wall of complete monism and anti-constitutional war against the opposition.

DP expresses the greatest appreciation for today's summit because today these prominent men of the EU are burying Edi Rama's Open Balkans project in the dictator's mausoleum, this de facto Russian-Serbian project, which aimed in a way or another, the return of Greater Serbia, the return of the region to Russia's sphere of influence.

This project in which Rama became the main promoter, which was strongly supported by Lavrov and Soros, is buried today at this summit and this is a great achievement for Albanians and all the nations of the region," said Berisha.
