The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, at the same time the former head of the Investigative Commission for incinerators, has reacted after the SPAK decision.
Tabaku emphasizes that this decision of SPAK is late, but welcome.
"A delayed, but welcome decision, the sequestration of Tirana's incinerator by SPAK. Unfortunately, the Albanian government should have stopped payments for a contract that started with a cost of 129 million euros of Albanian taxes and ended with a value of 339 million euros.
Now the next task remains to bring to justice the other responsible persons who have signed and allocated millions of euros from the state and municipal budgets for an instillation of corruption.
A year and a half ago in the place where today it is really a crime scene, I denounced and proved in the eyes of the Albanians together with my colleagues what is now clear; the instillations of corruption worth 430 million euros are a proof of the governance and decision-making of this government.
Time is proving that the monopoly caused by the Municipality of Tirana for the soils that should be thrown into that incinerator, but also the cost that Albanians pay for a process that is not carried out, is a double abuse.
Despite all these reasons, millions of corruption taxes were paid from the pockets of Albanians. Every citizen of Tirana, Durrës, Kavaja, Vora, Rrogozhina paid double for a product that he did not receive. He paid twice for the furniture and the villas of a corrupt person who today has to answer more than ever", writes Jorida on Facebook.
