New Parliamentary Session, Tabaku: Assembly is a formal structure, adopts

Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has reacted regarding her expectations from the new parliamentary legislature.

It raises the question of whether Parliament will serve for real change or simply as a "notary" of decisions made elsewhere.

"Parliament has been and will be the institution from where many changes can be made; can it be used for good, for qualitative changes, or can it also be a notary?!" writes Tabaku.

The DP MP emphasizes that she believes in the power of change through institutions and expresses her determination not to stop proposing concrete ideas and initiatives in the service of citizens.

"I believe in the power of change and I will not tire of proposing it," adds the MP.

This reaction comes on the eve of the resumption of parliamentary proceedings and reconfirms Tabaku's critical stance on the role that the Assembly should have as an active institution in democracy and not as a formal structure that simply adopts decisions without debate and transparency.
