Democratic MP Edi Paloka has declared that he is in favor of uniting the DP and the entire opposition front. But he singled out among them those who, according to him, play into Rama's hands.
Paloka expressed reservations towards the leader of the "Mundësia" party, Agron Shehaj, who according to him, after the DP extended the hand of unity by running a single candidate in the local elections for the municipality of Tirana, has now come up with new variants.
He called this a growth of mind by Shehaj who, according to Paloka, along with several opposition parties, are nurturing the ambition for power, hoping for Rama's quick departure.
"In fact, this is the misfortune, while you are asking for unity, you are reaching out to the opposition parties, here or someone is growing wiser, because the spirit has risen that Rama does not have long. There is a kind of spirit that Rama will leave and take an important position abroad, and this perhaps encourages these small parties to start thinking about power," Paloka said on the show "This Week"

Edi Paloka: I think the DP has done more than what the largest opposition party should do. I am the person who has always tried to unite the DP and the opposition. The opposition that really wants to overthrow Rama because those who are part of Rama's game, to harm the opposition, I don't know why we are still calling on them.
Yesterday, there was talk in the media about unifying the opposition, someone who yesterday asked the DP to come up with a single candidate and we gave the opposition this opportunity, we came up with a candidate outside the DP. The person who asked the DP came up with new ideas yesterday. Shehaj has come up with new variants.
