Bardhi and Noka's quarrel with Ačka, the Alliance of Women MPs reacts: We

The Alliance of Parliamentary Women has condemned the violence and intimidation exercised yesterday in the Education and Media Committee against the chairperson Flutura Açka and fellow members of the committee.

In a press release, the Alliance of Parliamentary Women says that violence shows desperation and that the users of violence openly show their inability to accept that there is a different opinion, a different attitude.

"We women MPs express our deep indignation for what happened yesterday as well as for the whole climate of lynching and vilification of women, and we demand that the perpetrators of this violence be brought to justice," the statement continued.

Likewise, the Alliance of Parliamentary Women condemns the violent acts and hopes that not only they will not be repeated, but that the Assembly will return to normality and that all MPs will do the duty for which the citizens have voted.

Full statement

The Alliance of Parliamentary Women strongly condemns the violence and intimidation perpetrated yesterday in the Committee on Education and Media against the Chairperson Mrs. Flutura Açka and our fellow members of parliament in this committee! Violence is an act that shows desperation. Users of violence openly show their inability to accept that there is a different opinion, a different attitude. Violence against women is to no longer understand the most important human qualities and enter a tunnel of darkness. We women MPs express our deep indignation for what happened yesterday as well as for the whole climate of lynching and beating women and we demand that the perpetrators of this violence be brought to justice. We believe in the politics of reason, reason and clear arguments, and we reject the darkness of the irrational, the violence that comes as a result of the lack of arguments. We condemn the violent acts and we hope that not only they will not be repeated, but that the Assembly will return to normality and all the deputies will do the duty for which the citizens have voted. We assure the Albanian citizens and in particular the Albanian women that we will continue to be their voice in the Parliament of Albania and we will reject and confront every act of violence and that inspires violence against women.

A day ago, Flamur Noka and Gazment Bardhi clashed fiercely in the Media Commission. Noka removed Ačka's microphone. Gazment Bardhi was also verbally harsh with his colleagues, which led to the termination of the Commission.
