The chairman of Albania Becomes, Adriatik Lapaj, appeared in the media today, where he spoke about the fact that the Electoral College gave the mandate to his aunt, Ana Dajko.
Lapaj told "News 24" that he feels betrayed by Endri Shabani. Lapaj stated that he has had a friend for 12 years and that Shabani has eaten at his house and that he did not expect this from him. According to Lapaj, the entire system was against him, so that he would not go to parliament.
Lapaj: We did not fight for a mandate, but for open lists. If I wanted to be in that parliament, I would have it simple, because I signed that list. But we wanted to open the race. We made the agreement for the citizens, the battle has always been for the race. Whether I keep my word or not, I should get the mandate, and then I could be judged. We should walk alone on our own path, Mr. Shabanaj and I see politics a little differently. Being a member of parliament does not make us take the side of the law, we are representatives of 80 thousand citizens. They asked me, I refused to side with the government.
An injustice was done, I will stand by my principles and our principles until the end. "Albania is made" is a model movement. Our commitment will be even stronger. Our battle will not be in parliament. Dajko is an honorable lady, she is the mother of one of our candidates. The battle will be on the streets of the homeland. I feel betrayed by Mr. Shabani, he was my friend for 12 years, he ate bread in my house. This was the reason why I lowered my vigilance, because I did not expect that it could happen from a friend and a friend, because I had him as a friend. Our battle will be to be represented by those people who the voters love. People will support us, because our candidates are people with excellent education. An injustice was done to us, Albanian politics owes us 7 mandates. People know the truth. The Electoral Code will change in Albania. 80 thousand citizens who voted for us and are not represented, due to the electoral law and a politics that bargains.
