The former chairman of the PD branch in Kukës, Ibsen Elezi, said that former prime minister Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha are to blame for the destruction of the opposition.
"The main culprit is really Berisha and Basha, as far as the destruction of the opposition is concerned, but the problem is also much bigger. In Olldash's race with Basha, a rule was broken and no one objected. It was shown that DP had a very big problem", said Elezi for "Abc News".
He also stated that the opposition cannot be resurrected with Basha and Berisha, as according to him there should be a democratic contest.
"They have no respect for the vote and opinion. They are discreet like Berisha with frauds. What they didn't say about Gaz Bardhi and then he left the leadership of the party. But the same thing with Bardhi, what he didn't say about Berisha. They cannot revive the opposition. The opposition can no longer rise with these two. The only way is to accept a race. But Berisha should not put his hands in either. This situation, the destruction of the democratic opposition was planned a long time ago" , he added.
