The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, and also the Political Leader of the Lezha District, said that the Democrats must unite to bring about political rotation and remove the corrupt government.
At the event organized for the 34th anniversary of the founding of the DP branch, Kurbin, Gjekmarkaj also leveled accusations at the leaders of the Municipalities of Lezha and Kurbin, calling them bandits.
The activity for the 34th anniversary of the Party in Kurbin was also greeted by the deputies of the Lezha District, who emphasized the electoral battle of May 11. On this anniversary, the Kurbin Democrats gave the message of a deep victory in this area in the May 11 elections.
"Anniversaries like today's are also moments of gratitude for all those courageous and visionary founders who challenged state security, the phalanxes of the dictatorship and gave life here to the first opposition party, the Democratic Party! Gratitude and respect to the founders! The dates serve as a reminder and as a reflection!
We are proud of our 34 years! Albania's major achievements, pluralism, freedom, democracy, capitalism, the rule of law, integration, Albania in NATO, visa-free Albania, Albania in alliance with the West, economic growth, infrastructure and much more happened when Albania was governed by the DP!
We overthrew the dictatorship despite all-out pressure in the elections of March 22, 1992! We returned with a popular vote in 2005 after being overthrown by gunfire in the infamous year of 1997! We survived the mafia aggression and we will win again on May 11!
We are the Democratic Party, of free thought and speech! We know how to rise up, we know how to look each other in the eye, we know how to apologize, we know how to unite with each other and with the citizens! We know how to define our mistakes and correct them!
We have made the impossible possible! This process was led by Sali Berisha, who has once again transformed the DP into a winning party!
How is Albania today, each of us asks? It is governed by a gang! It is stolen by this gang. It is devastated by this gang! This gang is led by Edi Rama!
Either Edi Rama stays and Albania goes or Albania stays and Edi Rama goes along with his pack of vices!
I believe, just like you, in Albania's victory and Edi Rama's defeat! The people did not go, the government that has ruined normal life in this country that they have unfortunately been governing for 12 years now is gone!
We believe in victory, we work for victory and we will win! Laçi, Miloti, Mamurrasi and Fushë Kuqja will be the example of change, history has proven this.
