Prime Minister Edi Rama has asked business operators to cater to tourists who consume more.
To date, tourists have generally come to eat pies and sandwiches, not providing much help to tourism in general.
" It is no longer the time for quantity, but for quality. It is no longer the time for throwing money away, but it is time for every penny invested to be invested in quality by the private sector, in the quality of services. We should not increase numbers indefinitely, but increase the number of tourists who consume more ," said Edi Rama.
Rama said that the government and the municipality will continue to increase salaries, but on the other hand, the private sector must also increase salaries for employees.
" I believe that the volume of government and municipal investments has also increased in the function of tourism and will continue to increase. We are still at a fragile moment, if we do not invest even more in the right directions, we may lose this volume and to maintain this volume we must increase the number of tourists in a sustainable manner. We must be very clear about what the private and public sectors should do. It is time for every penny invested to be in the quality of the entire service of the chains. I encourage you not to hesitate to increase salaries even more ", said Rama.
