The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke during a press conference about Albania's integration into the European Union. He described the DP as the main force that has led Albania on the path of integration into international institutions.
Berisha has called Rama's promises for the country's integration into the EU within 230 years a fraud.
"At the last meeting, the European Council in Brussels showed Rama the truth, by refusing to open new chapters and by not setting any date for Albania's integration," he declared, underlining that the country has remained hostage to a government that, according to him, does not respect the standards required by the EU.
Berisha concluded his statement by reiterating the DP's commitment to returning Albania to the true path of European integration, ensuring that the necessary reforms will be implemented with will and dedication.
