Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted on the social network "X" after Iran's attacks on the United Arab Emirates, describing them as "blind and desperate attacks" against a sovereign country and against the very idea of a Middle East based on peace and cooperation.
In his reaction, Rama states that the attack on a “peaceful oasis like Dubai with missiles of hatred and destruction” shows, according to him, the nature of the regime in Tehran. The Prime Minister describes this as a reflex of a system “destined to fail”, which, according to him, exports violence and uses terror as a weapon not only against its neighbors, but also to intimidate its own people who seek freedom.
According to Rama, the United Arab Emirates has become a global symbol of promoting peace, dialogue, economic dynamism, interfaith coexistence and cultural vitality. He emphasizes that the country represents a model of a modern Middle East that is self-confident, connected to the world and oriented towards the future.
"To strike blindly means to strike at the very opportunity of a region that has chosen development over destruction, cooperation over conflict, and peace over war," Rama said.
The Albanian Prime Minister further stated that Albania stands in full and unwavering solidarity with the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized that security in the Persian Gulf is not a local issue, but a global necessity, as any attempt at destabilization undermines energy routes, trade corridors and the fragile architecture of regional peace.
Rama calls for the international community to speak “with clarity and unity,” condemning state aggression, rocket attacks on civilian areas, and deliberate destabilization. According to him, a regime that “kills its own people on a massive scale” has no place in the community of nations, regardless of differences in systems or political beliefs.
At the end of the reaction, the Prime Minister emphasizes that the future of the region is not built with rockets, but with mutual recognition, economic integration and responsible leadership.
He praises the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of President Mohammed Bin Zayed, as a "beacon of stability and progress" for countries that want peace, while adding that those who choose "darkness and destruction" must face isolation from a world that supports stability and cooperation.

Yesterday, February 28, Israel and the United States launched a large-scale joint attack against Iran, the second in less than a year, again citing threats from Iran's nuclear program.
On the first day of the offensive, 200 Israeli warplanes struck approximately 500 targets on Iranian soil, particularly anti-aircraft systems and missile launchers, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Yesterday's attacks killed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, several members of his family, as well as the Secretary of the Defense Council, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Chief of Staff, and the Minister of Defense.
Iran responded by launching missiles and drones at Israel, as well as attacking US military bases in several Middle Eastern countries. After confirming the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, the IRGC announced the start of the “most brutal offensive operation” in the history of the Iranian military against Israel and US bases.
According to data from the Iranian Red Crescent, US and Israeli attacks against Iran have resulted in at least 201 deaths and 747 injuries.
