The head of PD-Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, has responded to Ilir Meta's accusations. Through a post on Facebook, Basha writes that Ilir Meta is "a symbol of impunity and bargaining at the expense of Albanians and democrats".
Basha adds that "Meta is the man with the block in his hand who has used the power of the Democrats for his personal interests and to empower Edi Rama, while continuing with ordinary deceptions to cover his dirty deals".
According to Basha, distancing himself from the leader of the PL "and his ilk are an inevitable condition to separate from corruption".

His bargains, delusions and anxieties have seriously damaged the opposition and the Democratic Party, as distancing from him and his ilk is an inevitable condition for separating from corruption and for its victory.
