ASSEMBLY

The Albanian Parliament will convene today at 10:00 in the last session of this parliamentary session. This session is expected to produce debates again on the issue of the Ombudsman, which the opposition has also sent to the Constitutional Court.

Endri Shabani, who was elected People's Advocate with the signatures of the DP and only with the votes of the SP, is expected to be sworn in at today's session.

Today, there are also expected to be debates on the Belinda Balluku case, as SPAK has requested authorization from the Assembly for her arrest, while the Mandates Council will meet on Friday. However, the members of this Council do not have the USB with SPAK's evidence in their hands, which Peleshi has not yet made available to them, arguing that the materials are an investigative secret.

Several items are scheduled on the agenda, including a motion for debate on the measures taken by the government to fight with zero tolerance against organized crime. This discussion is expected to be used by the opposition to criticize the government's results in the fight against crime and corruption, while the majority is expected to defend its approach and actions.
