Lawyer Adriana Kalaja has harshly criticized the way the Democratic Party is organizing the protest announced for December 22.
According to her, this protest is nothing more than "another parade" and does not bring any new strategy to confront Edi Rama's government.
" There is no need for a second, third or fifth podium. We as oppositionists must think about the strategy to overthrow Edi Rama ," Kalaja said on "A2 CNN", adding that the protest has turned into a routine that no longer serves the opposition's purpose.
She also emphasized the lack of real debate in the DP forums, where according to her, "the only topic of discussion was protest" and nothing about other important issues such as the process for the People's Advocate, where Kalaja was one of the candidates.
" I have no reason to return to office when the Democratic Party does not have a different approach ," said the lawyer, emphasizing that it is time for a deep reflection within the party. She recalled the massive mobilization at the "first podium", where over 16 thousand citizens participated, describing it as a movement that began with hope for change.
Kalaja stressed that he will continue the battle against injustices, but called for the DP itself to take concrete steps for reorganization: " The DP must come to its senses and ask itself if it needs changes in its structure. It definitely does ."
