The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, said that the opposition has denounced the affair of the incinerators since 2018 and that it set up a commission that served SPAK to investigate this affair.
In an interview for the "Now" show on "Euronews Albania", Tabakut said that today's tensions in the Assembly came only after the majority's decision not to vote for the removal of Arben Ahmetaj's immunity, as requested by SPAK.
" Things are not that simple. We were attacked for and what was not said to hinder the opposition. Today, that report of the Commission of Inquiry has turned into a lawsuit. Everything we have said has been proven. Today the debate in the Assembly should have been very simple. SPAK has brought a file, today the parliament should have voted on the decision of the Council of Mandates today. The head of SPAK has said that evidence is being interfered with and pressure is being put on witnesses, so it is urgent that this be done immediately. Parliament should have put it in a plenary session today. Today there would be no debate whether the parliament should have done what SPAK requested. Parliament should not have become a shield today. Thanks to the investigative commission, another standard has been set today ," said Tabaku.
