The Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has stated that during the Presidency meeting held two days ago, there was an injected spirit to accuse some of those present as if they were taking the party to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
In an interview for the show "Log" on "Panorama TV", he added that deputies Dashnor Sula and Saimir Korreshi were verbally abused and then threatened outside the meeting hall, by people who, according to him, had nothing to do with the party.
" Actually, I want to repeat that it is the same proposal that the Parliamentary Group has made, a platform supported by 30 MPs. We requested that the certification of current membership be done as a first step. The second step is elections in sections and group sections. And the third step is the election of the chairman. I supported Mrs. Godole's proposal to come up with a joint decision-making.
We did not go with a decision in our pocket and say that there is no need for further discussions. When I was explaining the statutory impossibility, at that moment I realized that my presence was a facade, since the decision was taken outside that room. If, as members of the party leadership, you don't hear why we have to come up with a unified decision...
I walked out of the meeting, considering my presence in the meeting a facade. Some of the people who were outside the hall were branch presidents and we greeted them normally. At the moment I left, my colleague Dash Sula left the meeting. Against him, individuals who are not part of the party structures have used verbal violence and threats against him.
I am talking about my situation, I have not had any pressure to openly express my thoughts in the Party Presidency. Since the events did not take place at the Presidency meeting, I cannot speak. After Mr. Sula, Mr. Korreshi has also been insulted and threatened. There was an interruption of the meeting because noise was heard in the hall. There was also a debate there.
Then the colleagues returned and the meeting resumed. I didn't feel any pressure, but I can't speak for other colleagues. But it is completely unnecessary for the heads of branches and other persons to be there. There was such an infused spirit even before the meeting began. There was a spirit to tell us that we are taking the party to Berisha. It was a lie that was injected before" , said Bardhi.
