Former Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula called the DP's national protest, held yesterday in front of the Prime Minister's Office, a parade. He added that the idea of a caretaker government is old and there is no certainty who would lead it.
"Yesterday's protest was a parade in my opinion. Even a parade has participation. I call it a parade because expectations were raised very high; there are DP militants who believed that the government would be overthrown, and they went, and they did well. There should have been more, because protests are important. But the problem is why the protest was organized. For statements? To believe that after 35 years Sali Berisha will bring change, I can no longer bring it. I have nothing personal with Berisha, but I hear what people say: 10 people, 7 say I will vote for Rama because even though it is corrupt, Berisha's government has killed people. As a citizen, I want democracy to function in Albania, to change the elites and to cleanse themselves ," said Sula on the "Studio24" show on News24.
The former MP also criticized the DP's strategy and Berisha's leadership, highlighting the lack of opposition unity.
" The real opposition, unfortunately, is SPAK and GJKKO. The DP and Berisha do not intend to unite all the opposition wagons, they only keep their own locomotive. As long as the DP continues with this leadership, the chances are zero ," he stressed.
