The former deputy of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, has stated that the union of the 43 democratic deputies from the 2021 elections came about due to several circumstances, one of which was the return of Lulzim Basha to the head of the official Democratic Party.
"There are certain circumstances, always for big events there are small circumstances that pushed the event forward. The pressure of the electorate was great for the merger to be realized", said Boçi.
The demands that the MPs had, after the group of MPs committed themselves to Lulzim Basha's resignation, and this group of MPs could not bow before a return.
According to Boçi, the meetings between the MPs should continue and he asked for the expansion of the opposition front by inviting those who have aligned themselves with Basha to unite.
"This expansion must continue, communication must continue with the rest, except for those exceptions. There are still hotheads within us and these must be cooled and this union is necessary", he said.
The thesis put forward months ago about the need to register a new sigla by Sali Berisha is also accepted by Luciano Boçi that it was discussed at the blue headquarters, but he is skeptical that this can happen.
"It's not that there haven't been debates, discussions or proposals about this, but I don't think anyone should come out and steal history. It's not just the stamp or the logo, but the contributions of many Democrats," he said.
The next meetings of the democratic deputies for Boc should be held in the headquarters, as according to him the symbolism is very important and gives another weight in the fight against the government.
