MP Flamur Noka has reacted after the arrest of the much-wanted Behar Bajri in France.
Noka said that the arrest by the French police of the hired killer Behar Bajri is good news for Shkodra and the safety of its citizens.
"The Democratic Party congratulates the security and order services of France for the arrest of one of the biggest threats to safety, life and peace in Albania, involved in crimes against the person and electoral crimes.
We remind the public opinion that without the security or intelligence services of the partner countries, this arrest would not have happened, nor many others before it. Criminals and incriminated senior officials who are behind bars today are the work of Belgian, Austrian, Italian, French or German prosecutors and police.
From Saimir Tahir's case onwards, every significant development in the capture of incriminated elements has the stamp and the will of the partner countries. Unfortunately, our police have turned into servants of crime, couriers and bodyguards of killers. The prosecution destroys the evidence, while the court acquits them.
Behar Bajri arrested by the French is the most typical example of the decline of the state in the face of crime, of the government's collaboration with criminals.
When you see and read the communique of the State Police, where it appears that the operation to capture him was an Albanian-French enterprise, you understand how low Taulant Balla has lowered the prestige and uniform of law enforcement officers. It is doubly insulting to the public who has not forgotten and has seen in the 'Metamorfoza' file how police chiefs or deputy police directors served as spies for Bajre and Pëllumb Gjoka.
While the chapters of the file are being revealed one by one, and the event is still fresh, the Police come out and say that they caught Bajri. They are not ashamed of the Albanians, nor of their French colleagues or the French embassy here.
French police say they caught Bajri in Strasbourg, Albanian police say he was caught in Paris. The French say in the bar, ours in the apartment. If they had been involved in the operation, as they claim, they would at least know the place where Bajri was captured.
They have not been nor did they want Bajri to be caught, because his arrest means the release of other anti-legal information involving policemen, police chiefs and state leaders. Since the French packed Bajri, the Police, the Prosecutor's Office and the courts have only one task: not to convey it again, as they usually do," said Noka in his statement.
