The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, from the Assembly, today called on the parliamentary groups to send the names of their representatives to the Special Committee for Electoral and Territorial Reform as soon as possible, so that their approval can take place in Thursday's plenary session.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the first meeting of the Special Commission for Territorial Reform is expected to take place on Friday, which will mark the official start of work on the new administrative division of the country.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party has not yet submitted its names for the composition of the Special Commissions, which may affect the pace of starting their work.
We recall that the establishment of the Territorial Reform Commission was voted in Parliament with 115 votes in favor and 3 against by MPs Agron Shehaj, Erald Kapri and Redi Muçi. In this Commission, the Socialists have 8 seats in the majority ranks, while the Democrats have kept 6 seats and have left two to their allies, one to Fatmir Mediu and one to the Freedom Party.
