Rama reacts to the EU's three demands for reducing tensions in the North: I

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted in relation to the three demands of the EU that must be fulfilled urgently by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandër Vucic.

Through a post on Twitter, Rama has stated that he hopes that the requirements set by the EU will be met immediately by both sides so that, according to him, the absurd conflict will end.

Furthermore, Rama thanked the French president, Emanuel Macron, the German chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head of the EU's foreign policy, Josep Borrell, for the insistence and commitment shown to seat the president of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani and the president Serbian Aleksandar Vucic.

"I cannot thank President Emmanuel Macron and Chancellor Olaf Scholz enough for what they are doing to finalize the Kosovo-Serbia normalization process! To see them sit down so respectfully with both sides to try to resolve an absurd conflict says everything about their great European spirit. Thank you!

I too commend President Vjosa Osmani for speaking directly to President Aleksandër Vucic, and I truly hope that these three demands are met immediately so that this absurd conflict ends before it damages Kosovo's reputation beyond its rapid repair and integration. further in the democratic community.

A big thank you also to Josep Borrel for his passion and patience in helping to finally realize this historic development", writes Rama.

We remind you that the requirements set by the EU for de-escalating the situation in the North consist of holding new local elections, ensuring the participation of Kosovo Serbs in the elections and starting work on establishing the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian Majority with dialogue facilitated by the EU here.
