The General Secretary of the Democratic Party Gazment Bardhi spoke about the meeting held a few days ago between the democratic deputies of the two parties.
He emphasized that he was not there to clarify the personal issues he has with Sali Berisha, but to discuss the unification of the party.
He also said that due to the disagreement that the two parties had with each other, they also put the party at risk.
"What Berisha thinks about me or I about Berisha, Albania or the opposition people will suffer the consequences. We have been dealing with each other for two years, every part of the DP has weakened and believe me we are risking the total meltdown of the DP and leaving the country without an opposition. I didn't choose anyone. I have called a meeting to unify the position of the parliamentary opposition in the country's parliamentary and political action. I don't think the same as Berisha on some issues, but there are many issues that Berisha and I share the same concern. I did not go to clarify personal matters with Berisha. I am here for a unified opposition", said Bardhi for "Euronews Albania".
