The Court of Appeal ordered the Prosecutor's Office to start investigations against the Authority of the Files of the former State Security, after the report made against this institution by the former president Ilir Meta. The latter claims that the members of the Dossier Authority falsified the documents where it was said that Ilir Metaj had been part of the former insurance.
Analyst and lawyer Brizida Gjikondi, invited to "Special Report" with journalist Arlind Isa, said that this decision is intended to intimidate the structures that deal with the investigation of characters who were part of the former state security. Gjikondi connected today's decision with people close to Ilir Meta.
" This decision seeks to intimidate the structures that deal with the investigation and discovery of characters who in the past were sinners, guilty and part of the division and fratricide that happened, which are forbidden by law to be part of active politics now. Albanian politics has always taken care to point fingers at others but always to hide its crimes and incriminations. This care includes to block the entire justice system where in every kind of structure and link they have their relatives and extenders. The Bezhani Commission, which Meta waves as a certificate of purity, close family members of Mr. Bezhani, have always been Meta's right wing in his politics. Even in the decision given today by the Court of Appeal, you understand that it moves in the bed of family ties of Ilir Meta's party", said Gjikondi.
Furthermore, Gjikondi said that the former president wants to intimidate Gentiana Sula with the report made against her. However, the analyst said that the decision of the Court of Appeal cannot stop the institution from going to the end of the case.
