Preferential votes in Tirana, who are the most voted names; surprise candidates

Preferential votes in Tirana, who are the names that are 'fighting' to get a mandate as an MP from the open lists...

As the counting of preferential votes for candidates for deputies in the May 11 elections continues, it seems that there are many surprises among the most voted names.

In the Tirana District, where the Democrats have a total of 13 parliamentary mandates, according to preliminary calculations, only 1 name has the opportunity to receive a mandate from the open list.

The Socialists, who have won 19 mandates in Tirana, have 7 names competing on the open lists that could receive a mandate as MP.

Referring to the preferential votes counted so far, it turns out that Blendi Gonxhe is the most voted name with over 8 thousand preferential votes and is followed by Ervin Hoxha, Minister of Interior, with 4317 votes.

Meanwhile, Ilir Alimehmeti and Jorida Tabaku count 4287 and 4079 preferential votes respectively, being among the most voted names in the Tirana District.

Then the list continues with Fatmir Xhafaj, Erion Braçe and Ornaldo Rakipi, who respectively count 3803, 3753 and 2807 preferential votes.

The surprise name, if it can be called that, is Loranca Hoxha, candidate of the open list of the 'PD-ASHM' coalition who counts 2454 preferential votes and behind her Antonela Dedej of the SP who counts 1976 preferential votes.
