Gazment Bardhi, political leader of the Democratic Party in the Fier District, where he received only 4 out of 16 parliamentary mandates in the May 11 elections, reacted with a message on social media.
Bardhi had not made any comments regarding the results since election day, which has attracted attention.

A heartfelt thank you
With a broken heart that the May 11 elections failed to express the real will of the citizens, I want to humbly thank all those democrats and opposition supporters who trusted their votes to the Democratic Party!
In the Fier region, we were free people facing a gang of corrupt ministers and directors who used the state and organized crime to maintain power!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and trust! A special thank you to the structures of the Democratic Party, the commissioners, observers and tireless counters!
We will stand together unyielding because Albania needs free people!
