Elections, Starmer and Berisha's ally congratulate Rama; messages from

Two days after the May 11 elections, while the vote counting process is nearing its end, Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun to receive the first congratulations from his European counterparts for his election victory.

The first to congratulate him was the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, whom Edi Rama considers his 'Italian sister' and has a special friendly relationship with.

Then it was the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, and that of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, who congratulated Edi Rama on the Socialist Party's victory in the elections.

“Congratulations to the Prime Minister on the election victory! I look forward to further strengthening bilateral relations and continuing cooperation within NATO and other international forums. I also look forward to participating in the EPP summit in Tirana on Friday,” Plenkovic wrote. The latter is one of Sali Berisha’s allies in the EPP, even one of those he met at the People’s Parties summit in Spain, and one of the signatories of one of the resolutions denouncing the electoral climate.

Meanwhile, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said that the victory shows the support that Albanians give to the country's efforts for EU membership.

"Congratulations, Edi Rama, on the convincing victory of the Socialist Party in the elections. Albanians overwhelmingly support efforts for Albania's membership in the European Union. Congratulations," Sanchez wrote.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also congratulated Prime Minister Edi Rama on his victory in the fourth term of government, calling it historic.

"Congratulations @ediramaal on your historic election victory.

"I look forward to continuing our collaboration to deliver results for the people who work in both our countries," said the British Prime Minister.

Edi Rama also received congratulations from the President of Ukraine, Zelensky, who the Prime Minister of Albania also considers a special friend.

Meanwhile, it seems that the message from the German Chancellor, Merz, the Greek Chancellor, Mitsotakis, has been missing, and above all there is no reaction from the US. Compared to 4 years ago, when Rama was congratulated on his victory by the US, before the vote counting had even begun, it seems that this time, he is missing the message that would certainly free him, even from the 'claims' of the opposition, while the election result would receive certification.
