The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a conversation with his followers on the social network, said that the West is eagerly awaiting the departure of Edi Rama as Prime Minister of Albania.
Referring to the EPP summit, which also proposed a series of amendments to the European Parliament, highlighting Albania's problems, Berisha emphasized that the EPP has provided assistance here, despite the fact that propaganda and noise have not allowed it to be perceived, but has provided extraordinary political assistance to Albania.
"If we consider here only the Valencia Declaration, which was voted for by all the center-right parties of Europe, it is the political platform and the greatest political support for this country, in which Edi Rama and the Albanian regime are condemned as an authoritarian dictatorship that suppresses pluralism, uses institutions to suppress pluralism, that develops electoral farces, that has close ties at the highest levels to crime.
In addition, this resolution followed the resolution that the EPP adopted in Malta.
Of course, the highlight of the assistance to us was the fact-finding mission that came to Albania 3 weeks ago, composed of the international secretaries of 30 center-right political parties from the EU and associated countries, where they drafted a report that they circulated to their governments and international institutions.
In this context, of course the meetings we held there and the conversations were very important.
But to tell the truth, there is a full awareness of the situation in Albania and there is full support for us. Edi Rama is blocked today.
"I emphasize once again that the one who, through deception and lobbying, had managed to be considered a shining example, his star has been extinguished forever and today he is a black figure in a red circle whose departure is eagerly awaited," said Berisha.
