The Central Election Commission has approved the draft decision to determine the number of candidates for deputies on multi-name lists, for each electoral zone, for the general elections to be held on May 11, 2025.
According to this decision, the total number of candidates for deputies to be presented by political party lists will be 186.
Of these candidates, 46 will be on the closed list, which means that if their political force secures a mandate in the district where they are running, they will automatically be in the next parliament.
Meanwhile, the remaining 140 candidates will be on the open list.
They will compete within the list to secure a high number of personal votes to surpass their colleagues, in order to win the mandate.
Allocation of mandates for each district:
Berat Region, 7 mandates, 2 on closed list
Dibër Region, 5 mandates, 2 on closed list
Durrës Region, 14 mandates, 5 on closed list
Elbasan Region, 14 mandates, 5 on closed list
Gjirokastër Region, 4 mandates, 1 ranked
Fier Region, 16 mandates, 5 on closed list
Korçë Region, 10 mandates, 3 on closed list
Kukës Region, 3 mandates, 1 ranked
Lezhë Region, 7 mandates, 2 on closed list
Shkodër Region 11, 4 on closed list
Tirana Region, 37 mandates, 12 on closed list
Vlorë Region 12, 4 on closed list
