Adritatik Lapaj, the leader of the Albania I Am Movement, declares that the entity he leads will not join any political force in the elections for the municipality of Tirana.
Lapaj said on the "Opinion" show that he would support an independent candidate, emphasizing that cooperation with other opposition forces would be hypocrisy.
" I will not oppose it on principle. I do not want to be the one who spoils the party. The way the esiv is proceeding is not right. We are talking about the largest city in the country. The truth is that it is at this point because the system has prevented the production of elites. To achieve such a candidate, it is not possible to sit Adriatik at the table twice or someone else. Do you want to know how we join in this story? I did not say that we expected someone to come out and declare to run as an independent and seek the support of this party or that. I cannot be hypocritical. We are open to supporting an independent candidate. But we will not enter into a party agreement with other parties ," said Lapaj.
