After Veliaj's dismissal, the next dilemma concerns the new head of the Tirana Municipality, between complaints, preparations for the election campaign, and waiting for the Constitutional Court's decision.
The leader of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, said that the Constitutional Court's decision resolves the current political impasse and that every party should prepare for elections.
Regarding the boycott of the elections, Qori commented that it is a victory on the table for the candidate and that it has been proven to be ineffective.
"Regardless of opinions, we need a decision from the Constitutional Court on the presidential decree if it is illegal. So far, we have interpretations. We need the decision of the Constitutional Court, every party should prepare for elections, it seems strange.
This is a decision that in our statute is not made by me but by the council. We are in the consultation phase, but we will make the decision public. The elections can only be boycotted at the moment when they put a gun to their heads, otherwise it is a call from every party. Burning mandates has been tried once and has failed. The idea that we will not enter the elections to create a crisis has proven to be the opposite.
"If a party says it will not enter the elections, it has left victory on the table for its opponent. The President should have simply requested a meeting with a representative of the Court. If the Constitutional Court convenes on November 5, it is a mockery of the state ," said Qori, on the show 'Real Story'.
