Berisha and Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has sent a message to the opposition on 'Europe Day' regarding electoral reform. While emphasizing that dialogue remains the only way to reach consensus between political parties, Rama said that ultimatums do not work with him and this is now known.

In this context, the Prime Minister stated that no one can impose proposals through ultimatums. While he affirmed that he is ready to listen to any proposal, he considered reducing the number of deputies in the Assembly as a priority.

"For electoral reforms, you should contact the leader of this reform, who is Damian Gjiknuri. We are open to listening patiently to anyone who sits at the table to talk and negotiate. Impositions, ultimatums, predetermined positions, I believe that it is long enough to understand that with me and us they cannot work. We are interested in reducing the number of members of parliament. I hope we have consensus. From these, any other discussion is open," he said.
